Spinach and Feta Turkey Burgers

Time to Prepare: 15 minutes Cook Time: 30 minutes Serving: 4-6 People


Ingredients

1 pound ground turkey ½ cup frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry (10 oz box) ½ cup feta cheese, crumbled ½ cup Italian style bread crumbs 1 egg 2 garlic cloves, minced 2 teaspoons dried oregano ½ teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon onion salt 1 tablespoon olive oil Cooking Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl, mix all ingredients until well combined.

  2. Form into six patties.

  3. Cook patties on both sides, on a preheated grill, sprayed with cooking spray, for 15-20 minutes.

  4. If you're cooking indoors, on the stovetop, use a cast iron skillet or a non stick skillet, sprayed with cooking spray, over medium high heat. Cook on both sides until cooked through (internal temperature of 160 F) and both sides are brown.

  5. Serve with your favorite bun, and top with your favorite fixings, such as tzatziki sauce, onions, tomato, cucumber slices.


HELPFUL TIPS

You can substitute the following: ground chicken, whole egg for egg whites, fresh spinach (3 handfuls) chopped.
